Fuji Cherry Empty Fuji Cherry

Post  Ian Young Sat Dec 18, 2010 7:19 pm

This little Fuji Cherry is going to get a tidy up and wired/ styled shortly. Some unsightly wounds will be carved. I want to keep a natural style to the image. It's due a repot in the Spring.

Trying to make use of this 360 malarkey, I would be interested in hearing what would be your choice of front.. Counter in the bottom corner should help identify your choice.

30-32, but that takes too long to load, even with DSL to be any fund. 3-4 pictures showing the various "sides" would have loaded several times as fast.

oooh you have several possibilites - and a lot will depend on how you tidy it up. My first reaction was somewhere around 40-43 but I'm also seeing possibilities at between 58 and 2. It rather begs the question re does there need to be a front? Good all round viewing in that one I'd say.

Jim, what do you mean about taking too long to load?

No problem loading for me too, a few seconds wait.

I reserve judgement on a front. Several are good. For me, it depends largely on the roots that will be exposed on repotting.

I see 58 - 2 as the best option - with the curved top. The low 40's work show a good line too. I agree with Fiona. Of course the roots below soil level could change these "perceptions".
BTW, that is the neatest "devise" for 360 imaging and counter. I'm intrigued! Salut, Todd

Thanks folks.
It's amazing reading all the different views on this. The 360 really does add to the online viewing of bonsai.
My preferred front is around the 62/1 where I started taking the snaps. However, a few of the others are good as well. A good problem to have. Very Happy
I'm hoping that the roots can be improved during this repot in the Spring but I'm in no hurry.
With a natural image and a possibly a round pot I hope to keep my options open.

I grew this one in open ground for 8 years to get a little girth. Very slow to fatten and nearly impossible to do in a pot. It's been in this pot for 3 years and has only been chopped back and allowed to regrow twice. This will be its first wiring. The chop wounds are pretty ugly and I'll spend a little time refining this first.

I find that these load quite fast to be honest. Having the option to embed flash within the posts here is a big bonus. Some browsers seem to have trouble with it when I link to a URL on another forum.
