Loose Bark Empty Loose Bark

Post  Billy M. Rhodes Mon Dec 06, 2010 8:15 pm

Today I was removing loose bark from a Juniper and understood why it is important.

Under one small piece of loose bark where a branch met the main trunk, I found a small black insect. It looked like a ant or termite, and it had started to dig a small hole in the trunk.
