Old Gold Juniper Empty Old Gold Juniper

Here is another one of my ugly trees. This was a cheap Old Gold Juniper that I bought from a local garden center. I didn't think at the time when I bought it, how badly the foliage would be for bonsai. But, I'm learning with every mistake I make, so one day I will be pro. Here is a nice degression of a tree:

First bought:
Old Gold Juniper 001-34

First styling:
Old Gold Juniper 003-37

Second styling/where it currently is today:
Old Gold Juniper 001-48

I guess there is really no where to go with an ugly tree like this, but I just wanted to post it to let all of you see how not to style a juniper Rolling Eyes

Comments/advice always welcome.

And please, try hard not to laugh Laughing

I think I said this somewhere else, Ryan, but I think it will have to become a BIG bonsai before its foliage will look less-than-messy.

Hi,!....Mr..

Huge forgiving learing trees!
In protection you can bend them like gum,.....in a good way cyclops

Set short they will give you new produce...
And this said,...bonsai wise talking....
In years......nice tree!

Thank you! It may take a few years, but it just might be something one day. I think I will end up planting this into the ground come spring.
