Application of Lime Sulphur

I am always fighting cedar apple rust on my Pseudocydonia sinensis (Chinese Quince) every winter. Since the tree never drops its leaves and seems to bud out during the winter, I end up spraying immunox through out the winter on a periodic cycle. There must be cedars in the area with galls but in hiking the area have never encountered infected trees. With spraying the tree with Lime Sulphur prior to putting up for the winter help or would it be beneficial to spray the inside of the cold frame with LS prior to storing trees be of any benefit?
