Some fall color one of my favorite tridents
This is one of my favorite trident maples. Its just starting to show some fall color. In fact, I took the photos about 4 days ago and its already gotten even better. The pot is from tokoname...I think made by Yamafusa. The tree stands only about 6 inches tall. Its got a fantastic nebari. I plan to exhibit it next year on a stand made by my good friend Jay Kolaya. The stand should be done in the next couple weeks so I'll post photos of it then.
Hope you like it.

Lovely tree Neil and good colour too. Distinct lack of deciduous trees being posted of late. Thanks for sharing.

Johnny,
I am using a $5.00 walmart light, and a $10 back ground. My camera is only a 7.2 mega pixel point and shoot. Go figure. I also use picassa's free imaging software which is can be downloaded on line.
Cheap and cheerful...my motto.

Nice Neil. Is this still in zone 7, or have you made it to zone 5 yet?

Chris,
No, unfortunately its not zone 7 any longer. As for "making" it to zone 5 which has 40-50 days shorter growing season......I am here in body but not yet in spirit. Having good bonsai friends closer by makes it easier. I think I am only about 90 minutes from you. I am now in Geneva Illinois.
Hey, I thought I saw Rod Blagoyavich out with George Ryan the other day...mustv'e been doing community service
