Pemphis acidula
Very dramatic tree Budi. How big is it? Its very difficult to get a sense of scale.

Another masterpiece Budi.
I will sadly be away on business next weekend and will thus miss your visit to the Fair Cape. Everyone here is looking forward to your arrival with great anticipation.
I hope you enjoy.

Budi,
I really admire this tree. The pot is stunning, but the movement & taper on the tree is even more impressive.
Hope you are well,
Ed

Wow! I wish I had something to share other than just admiration for the tree & the artist. You are a well matched couple, Budi ...

You posted the picture of when you got the tree, how long ago was that? How long did it take to get the tree to look like this?

Re: Pemphis acidula
Hey Budi!
Is that the tree you promised to give me next time you are in Cape Town? My little juniper is looking happier by the day as I had to treat it for red spider mite but I'll get the little critters and have it strong in no time at all! I think Gail may have a nice little oval pot for me to pop it into and I will post an image once done.
It was lovely to have you here and a pleasure to meet you.
Best Regards,

Budi,
Great to see my old pemphis friend. On another note, this tree used to be in the informal upright style. Do you still have those pictures?

Andrew,
Cape Town is really a wonderful place to visit. More over I was very glad to be among you, nice and keen bonsai people. I hope some day I can come back to your beautiful city.
I will be waiting for your juniper in the new pot.
All the best,
Budi

Jose Luis,
You are mistaken with an other moyogi pemphis in my garden. The first position of this tree was as shown as in the material picture above.

Budi,
You are right. The other pemphis was right next to mine, in the informal upright style.
Again wonderful tree. So wonderful that it was chosen as the logo for the 30 Tahun PPBI Bonsai book!!
