a member of the milwaukee bonsai club had a large number of her trees stolen in 2 seperate incidents - first 3 and then 14 !!!

she has provided a list of all the trees but only 9 pictures, but i just wanted to throw this out there as one never knows where (or if) they will turn up... so keep your eyeballs peeled.

This is a complete list of stolen trees: first 13 stolen Oct 14th

1-   Large Japanese maple about 36 inches in rectangular aqua shallow pot.
2- Chinese elm in Sarah Rainer soft green pot.

3-  small Japanese hornbeam blue-green pot

4-large shimpaku Juniper in hex Chinese pot

5-  Flowering crabapple in Sarah Rainer pot

6-  Japanese Larch in Japanese pot

7-  med. black pine.

8-  med black pine

9-blueJuniper literati in Sarah Rainer pot

10- blue Juniper

11-  Hawthorn med-large

12-  Juniper cascade small collected in Sarah Rainer pot

13-  Hinoki cypress small-med in hand made pot.

Stolen on Oct 2nd

1-  sm Hinoki cypress green Japanese pot
2-  sm Juniper green Japanese pot
3-  sm Juniper in hand made pot

Theft is only going to increase as bonsai gains popularity. I don't have a fenced backyard, and it's visible from a main street within our community; my location concerns me.

thats tragic.... I used to think that people who were into plants were not the type to be thieves. Ah well Sad
