As Lee intimates, the internet is not the place to discuss collection spots, because as soon as one is mentioned it is likely to be pillaged by less ethical collectors than ourselves. Anyone and everyone can use Google to locate the information that you provide! Please do not mention anywhere specific. If you do want to correspond by PM with someone about your favourite collecting spot, bear in mind that you must be certain that the person acquiring the infomation must also be entirely trustworthy. I'm not casting aspersions Kingbean, but you should understand that there are huge ethical questions around collecting from nature.

I would advise you to look for collecting spots yourself Kingbean. That is half the fun. Google Earth and Google Maps sattellite shots can be quite useful for identifying disused quarries and scrubland that could be investigated, prior to obtaining permission to dig. Now is the time to be getting ready for early winter or spring digs.

thank you i totally understand about collecting from the wild i found a very nice formal yew very close to where i live but really dont want to dig it up incase it doesnt survive and if just left alone it will in time become a very nice tree.
