A chance meeting at a recycling plant ironically! brought me
together with a friend and his Yamadori Hawthorn which was
collected at least 5yrs ago, apart from potting it into a quite
nice John Pitt pot and the topic of a workshop 2008 where
nothing was done it stands as is, slightly frustrated at its
progress I was asked to do some work on it, the following
pictures are the first results.
Day 1 on examination rot had set into the centre of the tree
from the "nebari" up 20cm which was carved out.
Day2 The carving was continued up into where two big branches
had been cut off when collected.
Day3 Raffia and wiring was applied and shaping the "Skeleton"was done,
a growing and ramification regime will be the the order of the day for Paul
over the next few seasons.
