Welcome to IBC.
It may not matter, but which species of fir are you planning to use? Have you ever seen one in nature that fell over, & the branches kept growing? Show us a picture of the specimen you are planning to use. Where is Printec?

Hi Iris
There is mistake in location I am living in Karachi, Pakistan.I can't find any image of fir growing here but If I try to describe it.
It is triangle shape and grow vertically.
There are 7 to 8 branches across the trunk if we separate the each set it look like this:
1# starting from roots 2# above on 1# 5-10 inches gap and so on 3# & 4#.

Every branch is parallel to above branch.
Every branch is growing horizontally.
Branches are not multiply like other trees. Only small leaves like this:

It helps to know the scientific (Latin) name of a plant, because what is called a "fir" in Pakistan may not be a fir at all.

True 'firs' are Abies and are found all over the world, usually at higher elevation. It should be possible to create a raft by removing all but one of the branches from the whorls and wiring that branch up.

However, alpine trees sometimes don't do well at lower and warmer locations.

I am not quite sure what you mean here, but as the tree matures the individual branches will develop side branches and resemble a tree, although they are still connected.

I think we have a language problem here, or confusion about raft style. If you made a raft, you would turn the old tree on its side and bury it. There would be some branches sticking up to make a group of small trees. When the raft is established, you wouldn't cut anything off except the part of the old root ball that sticks up. Are you thinking of air-layering? Too bad there isn't a bonsai club in Pakistan.
