Help needed with my Hawtorn

please help style my hawtorn ....John

Looks like a good air-layering project. You could end up with several trees all much better than than what you have now. I'd start by layering off tho top section from the point of inverse trunk taper. Then, next year you can layer off the section with the s-curves. The base has a nice taper but the nebari looks like a real challenge.

John, you don't give us any idea where you live, but I wouldn't be in a hurry here. There's all kinds of potential. If there's a club near you -- or even one experienced person -- get some help. We really should not advise on this merely from photos. But keep us posted, please.

When I saw the nebari I immediately thought that it looked like one of those "Bigfoot" footprints (aka Saquatch in these parts of the PacificNW).

John, by the look of the Accrington Stock houses in the photos you are probably less that 10 miles from my home... Hawthorns are my favorite

You are welcome to bring the tree to my Garden and I will give you the best advise I can

Are these pictures the same tree? Obviously, I can't tell if it is. If so, I think you did a very good job, but where is 'Bigfoot'?
