Did the layer work? If not have you covered the plastic bottel in something to keep the contents in the dark? Try and wrap some dark cloth around it as roots need darkness I think?

Yes, it did .
on 13/06/15 it looked like this
So I cut the branch
and I put it in a new pot with a soil mix of akadama and pomice fifty/ fifty, without disturbing the root ball. In future repotting, I'll take away all the spagnum moss, but by now, I don't want run any unnecessary risk
You have the whole history in this spanish forum click,click, in spanish of course, but with tons of photos!

In my experience, there isn't any difference covering o not the airlayer.I did an experiment with an English elm, another link in spanish click,click
I did three airlayers in three branches on the same tree, one uncover and two cover, and all three sprouted root more or less equally.
