Hi Guys,
Here's 2 little trees that I've been playing with recently. The Field Maple I posted last year but the Cotoneaster (yes another one!!!) is new to me this year. It went a bit round the houses before it got to me (although I was offered 1st dibs) but eventually it came "home" via Essex & Mr Pearson.

The Field Maple has been leaf pruned and just starting to burst back into life and I hope that I'll end up with a nice dumpy tree which will probably look best sans leaves. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great,

Yep. That cotoneaster would look so much better about 500 miles north of Kent.

Yup. If you can't send it to Fiona it's only a few thousand miles farther to my benches.

I think those straight, heavy roots will always be a bit of a problem for the maple. But maybe not.
