ligurian stone

Hello,

This is a picture of my last stone, I've made a part of the daiza with the daiza-workgroup, at the french exhibition....

I really wish that I could find stones like this where I am. I am in constant awe with the variety and quality that ligurian limestone presents. Wonderful stone, and the daiza looks very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Haro Koda... Mathias has shared the second daiza he has crafted, and it looks elegant to me. His skill is uncommonly good. This daiza is as simple and as quiet as the stone. The daiza's color is deep & its finish has a muted satin sheen; it shows very little wood grain, which additionally helps promote the stone. The feet are so modest as to be almost indistinct, and they appear well-placed.

In regard to the daiza, what do you see as "busy" and what is meant by "harder than stone" for you? I would like to understand.

Christian Hansen ("chansen") thought this an exceptionally nice pairing of suiseki and daiza, which seems a fair assessment.
