Exploring a Carolina Bay Empty Exploring a Carolina Bay

This past weekend I made a visit to a local Carolina Bay. This particular one is named Cathedral Bay. Carolina Bays are pretty interesting unexplained geographic phenomena...but I like them for their Pond Cypress trees

I was fortunate on this particular morning... no skeeters or snakes...lots of humidity though:)

Thanks again John. If we weren't having such a prolonged stretch of glorious (and uncharacteristic) weather over here I think I'd be booking one-way flights right now.
