I recognise 2 of your Junipes Mike. The very slanted one and the literati. Have you thinned out the literati?

The tree is a common landscape juniper I collected about 25 years ago. It has been extensively carved. The pot is a Shigaraki from the 1970's. The scroll is a sumi-e image of Daruma Buddha. The rock is a Northern California river stone.
The backdrop is 5 feet tall and the table is 6 feet long.

The first tree, a Coastal Redwood I assume, is really cool. Very artistic and nicely presented. Who says a bonsai has to look like a tree.

Rob, that tree belongs to member Tim Kong. Tim finds some great material out in the woods, and has the imagination to make the best use.
Tim is a retired school teacher who has built up a reputation as a very good bonsai teacher. Tim taught elementary school, and has a way with kids. No one is better than Tim when it comes to teaching bonsai to young people.

Large satsuki azalea. We were lucky that the satsuki blooming season was delayed by a cold spell.
