bonsai styles in nature

Post  peter keane on Sat May 22, 2010 11:44 pm

A common thought is that many bonsai shapes do not imitate nature. While driving home today, I found this maple growing along a rock outcrop. Now, I seriously doubt that the owner of the real estate ever intended on this to ever look like bonsai, or read a book on it. from the sidewalk to the top, it's about eight feet. The maple is about 30 inches wide. The tree was pruned to allow walkers to pass on by Smile
