A while ago I found a rockbowl when I was looking for new yamadori's Very Happy
This bowl is not natural,I was take away a piece of the rock and come to the conclusion that the inside was aluminium affraid
The outside is concrete, and the rock is very heavy Neutral
So I potted the Eonymus in this rockbowl, and placed some rockplants on it.
I hope you like this little story from the rock and tree Very Happy

This works very well Ed. I have a problem with the way the cascade branch drops down and is quite straight. My eyes are drawn to id immediately. I would be more than tempted to raffia the branch and put some movement in it. Thats my only criticism though. Eonymus cascade in a rockbowl Icon_biggrin

We've seen this tree before haven't we, Ed? What was it in before the rock pot?

Lovely tree and stone. I don't think Very Happy I have ever seen aluminum rock before. I agree with Will about the low straight branch. Raffia and perhaps splitting the branch for easier bending would work. However, your composition is very pleasing and natural. Great piece of material. I put "burning bushes" right up there with maples. great color; Spring and Fall, small flowers and fruit in scale with bonsai. Top notch! Regards, Todd Very Happy

Hi Will and Todd, your right about the low straight branch.
When you see it in real life it looks better than on the photo, this week I will work on this part off the tree and place a photo again for you Very Happy
Thank you for mentioning this ThumbsUp
Fiona this tree you have seen it before on this forum, and it was placed in a Brian Allbright pot Smile
Here a photo from the tree in his old pot.
Greetings Ed

I remember it now. It's a lovely tree and I really like the rock pot.

There's something bothering me though about the bit I've highlighted - to me it seems that there's too much going on in there. But that may be sorted by the work you're going to do before your next photo.

I was also going to comment on the Great Tit in your last pic on that post. But I am aware people would only snigger if I said "Great Tit". Or indeed point out that if a bloke said "great tit" in a post to a lady, he'd probably get a slap.

I agree that branch could use some "meandering". The "rock" Is interesting. So bizarre to find something like that.

The over all composition looks good though. Seems like a nice fit.

Thanks for sharing

Update, the branch is not bend because it is difficult and I am afraid it will break Evil or Very Mad
This old branch is not flexible at all Twisted Evil
So I decide to camouflage it with more leaf in front off it.
In the future there will be more leaf in front the straight branch, and it will look much better than ThumbsUp
