Could anyone please make the style of my elm to be better view, and could it call for sohin bonsai?? I am confused how to make it better

How tall is it? It always helps to include a familiar object in the picture so we can tell the size.
I am no big expert, but I think you have to work on the taper. Let the leader grow as tall as possible for now, so it will thicken up.
Also, the nebari needs improvement. Are there any more roots under the soil?

I did some progress of the carvings and cut the branches to this elm, as attached 2 pictures, which one is the better face to determine?
