Bonsai within
This art I have helped ( and I mean barley helped) create is called "The Bonsai Within"
I don't think I ever mentioned this ... we are expecting a little girl some time around July 6th. !!!! We are pretty excited.
We are thinking about naming her "Violet Adel Hatfield"
OR
"THUNDER BRINGER"
I'm sure she is thrilled this is posted

Joe. I sincerely hope Violet looks like her bonnie mother and not like a 40-something bearded woman in a dress!!!

Awwwwwwwwwww! There there.
And anyway, your beard still doesn't hold a candle to that of an English teacher I once had at school many years ago. Hers was truly something to behold!
It matched her warts perfectly.

And there was me, starting to get worried that I was being thought of as a man dressed as a woman.... ok.. I'll admit it...I might be a very hirsute babe.......but now confirmed by a teacher.......got to be true

Congratulations to you both.Best thing in the world. You do know that you have to give some of the garden up now . I think i have another 8 years before i can get rid of the swings and fill it up with trees.

Congrats
Hi Joe,
Wonderful news.
I'd get some sleep now my friend, cos it may become a fond distant memory.

Congratulations Joe,
Great times ahead for you and your wife, well worth the sleepless nights, changing nappies, getting puked on, toys all over the place, washing machine on 24 hours a day, addiction to coffee, etc, etc,
We enjoyed it so much the first time we had another one 23 months later
Seriously though, best thing that's ever happened to me is becoming a Dad. Enjoy your last few months togehter as a couple - you'll soon wonder what you used to do before the baby arrived

Now try to prepare for your world to turn upside down and for time to fly by. Great news and enjoy.

Congrats to you both, wunnerful, wunnerful! Growing one from seed takes a little longer, but in the end there's no one to blame but yourself if they don't turn out right.

I love how you managed to strike the perfect balance here. The way those graceful limbs are offset by the smoothly curving trunkline... definitely your best work yet!
Congratulations! I wish the three of you much joy

Congratulations!
A word of warning, as an old father and a young grandfather...
Watch out for the Bonsai from within. Once "collected" they tend to make their own fertilizer.
Will, I had a nun for a teacher in a Catholic School... She coulda been your sister! (or brother, we were never really sure)!

Thank you everyone for the warm wishes and thoughts. I have managed to raise a soon to be 6 year so far with little deductions to my garden. In fact they new trees that arrive are said to be Tyler's trees A loop hole of sorts
