Eastern hemlock is Tsuga canadensis, not Thuja. Not that it matters, but I thought you may like to know this.
Thanks for the info. I was told by Mr. John Pitt that it's called eastern hemloc. And T. Tickle said it's just called thuja. I will have to tell them they were wrong. Twisted Evil

Both species grow wild in my region. Thuja are some of the most sought after yamadori in eastern north america... they can get quite twisted in the right environment. Tsuga are not nearly as exciting.
