Hi All

Thought I would take this opportunity to introduce a good friend of mine and his work. Peter Curd specialises in Shohin starter material and also fantastic accent plantings. More can be seen at his website which is currently being filled with new material in the next few weeks. See www.bonsaidesigns.co.uk

Here are a few examples of Peters Accent Plantings

Julian Adams has dwarf horsetail http://www.adamsbonsai.com/websitelong_011.htm and some other accent plants. I bought some horsetail from him and have been very pleased.

For future reference, I've always found it quite readily available in the water garden section of most decent garden centres.

Peter C is a wonderful chap who, as Andy says, not only does accent plants but is something of a specialist in Shohin. His "system" is to bring on young plants to create decent shohin in a shortish space of time. Although he has only recently started down this route, he is already creating some fine specimens. While they don't as yet match the level of the imported top quality shohin we are seeing in the UK, the number of decent specimens he has produced does rather go to show you that you can start the process off more modestly and come up with a good result relatively quickly in bonsai terms. I spent a memorable couple of hours in his garden having been invited along by the two Kentish monkeys - Stone and Bonsai. What a revelation. I believe Peter is a member on here so it would be good if he could post some pics.

Maybe in GB, not here in Denmark.
Thats why I am so thankful that this forum could help me with a swap of plants.
