Root Knot Nematodes
While repotting an apple (malus), I noticed it had a heavy affliction of root knot nematodes. Anybody have suggestions about how to control and/or eliminate them?

On a Malus, I would guess the root swellings you see are caused by woolly aphids, not nematodes. Look carefully at the swellings for white "fluff". An insecticidal drench will control them. Contact your local Cooperative Extension Office for detailed advice.
