Bald Cypress Empty Bald Cypress

I bought a Bald Cypress last spring from a nusery,took it home and did the first chop on it. Was 10 ft down to 4ft, let it grow all season. This fall I chopped it down to the final height and now I was wondering if I can repot it. It is still in the original nusery pot and I want to put it into a developmental pot. I live in Houston Zone 8

It's likely to be VERY rootbound if it has been in the nursery pot that long. But the answer is yes.
