Hawthorn 2007
Hi all friends.
The Hawthorn friend bought in spring 2007. He was in quite a deprived state. Foto original state, unfortunately I do not. The first photo is autumn 2007. The problem is in the top right of the tribe. Is too flat. Unfortunately, since the beginning of the scarred and too stiff. Is not to give him movement. In agreement, we decided to accept the error. For now.

A virtual of your Hawthorn.
Hi Pavel,
I like the natural image that you are after in this Hawthorn. But, and I hope that you dont mind me saying, I find the branch (red arrow) that you have turned into the new top to strait. It draws all the attention to it self, because it looks out of place on that old gnarly trunk. You successfully designed your Hawthorn to look all wild and natural, so that straight branch is a distraction. I think that if you remove that straight branch (red arrow) and replace it with the branch with more movement (yellow arrow) the tree will look more natural and it will have a more pleasant unforced flow towards the top.
In the next virtual I removed that straight branch.
And replaced it with the one with more movement.
I think that that branch is still bendable, so it is doable. Any way, it is just a idea that I wanted to share, so I hope you dont mind?!
Keep us posted about the progress of this promising Hawthorn! You know that they are one of my favorite species!
Cheers,
Hans van Meer.
PS: Is it still so cold in your part of the world? It is here...BRBRBRRRR!

Hi Hans
Thank you for a great design and a description of another possible solution. It is possible that in that direction.
But I have found yet another very interesting solution, and it shows a tree of course, much better than now. As will be better weather, I'll show you a photo.
For me now -23°C

Hi Pavel,
Very impressed with the fine ramification you have developed on this Hawthorn in the time period. I did agree with Hans option of shortening the apex/es but as I see it fill out, it's really starting to create a convincing image.
Love your work and these progression posts

Beautiful as usual Pavel. Really nice development. But, I must agree with Hans, that straight part of the trunk is very distracting. I like Hans' virt. Maybe in time

Beautiful tree. New pot is a great improvement as well.

Re: Hawthorn 2007
I am glad I read through before posting because Hans beat me to it! Even with the new pot/ramification etc, the tree still looks wrong both because of the double apex and the straight main apex. This spoils an otherwise fairly nice tree.

Re: Hawthorn 2007
I think the straight main trunk fits the rest of the tree. It looks look a tree that suffered an injury of some kind and then recovered.
