Do we love our trees more than our partners
I really love my bonsai... some would say I was fanatical or is the Fanatickle? ...but who can explain that the most online at anyone time on this forum was 85... and it was at 6.45pm on 14th February (St.Valentines Day) when they should have been sitting down to a romantic dinner

Mine spent yesterday repairing the damage done to the grass airstrip by a herd of cows while I battled my way along a very glaury (google it - it's a real word) canal towpath on the MTB.
It was the closest we could get to some romantic mud wrestling!
And we did get something from the chippie for dinner.
See Scotland - see Romance? Pure isnae no' deid at a'!

Spent my day, in the woods, clearing old mans beard and Sycamore, with nine low to medium risk offenders. Home to an empty house(Bev and boys at a friends). Boys night in with takeaway curry,Call of Duty and the good old IBC.

I spent mine nursing my aching thighs after spending all Saturday bent over in Tony's garden. Ahem.
Oh, and getting the pub quiz ready for Sun night.
Us Northerners really know how to show a girl a good time, tha' nose.

Mine, I spent driving down 20 miles to a house with a very old cotoneaster which I saw while putting up a shop sign ( Bad bad habit of looking in to peoples driveways). The old lady was a bit shocked when I knocked at her door on a sunday afternoon and asked her if I could have that bush. Funny how she kept looking at me for a few seconds and then she said YES, I could have it.
If it survives, I'll call it Valentine.

Thats funny Tony!!! Maybe because most treated their partners to Breakfast or Lunch and then got away with murder for the rest day. We all went out for a Vietnamese lunch and then a little visiting in the afternoon.

If you don't ask you don't get. Nice one.

honest reply?
Tree's don't come first when you have a lady like me,...............but if u where in my shoe's right now.....?
oooohwe boy if you only knew, things are way over my head and don't match reality any more,........
Trees come first if you realy have to make a CHOICE, and in this matter my lady supports me..........
Tony, you've made my day honest!
Sometimes it's good to write things down,........someone hit a string,....somewhere........!
And no didn't book a table or what else last night, if there are no rules in bonsai there sure ain't any in passion!

My girlfriend and I went to the store to pick up a few esentials then I spent all afternoon and evening working on group projects for my coursework. Apperently I'm the only one of my peers in a relationship.

This was our 50th Valentine's day. We've learned that only if you like to wait should you go out for dinner ON Valentine's Day, so we had our dinner out last night (also the first night in weeks without snow!).
How rural are we here? We have to drive 65 miles round trip to find a 'nice' restaurant she likes. And it's a chain.
I get to pick on our 50th wedding anniversary (June 11). How does McDonald's sound? We have one of those here in our town of 960 souls.

Oh God, Dorothy! You just put me off my dinner! I might just have to have a lettuce leaf with a watercress garnish now instead of the pasta dish I was planning.
Nah! Mebbe not.

My Valintine of thirtysomething years is gone...but had a very nice VD with my daughter and her husband...a movie followed by a wonderful lobster and shrimp dinner. The movie, by the way, was The Blind Side...very good tear jerker...
