Is simple and small.
This plant was made through cutting of roots.

Small Maple in the rock... Empty Re: Small Maple in the rock...

Really glad you posted this, as I've just trimmed masses of really interesting Trident Maple roots off a large tree that I lifted from my fattening bed. I have potted up about ten of the best, in the hope that they might sprout. Something I've not done with Trident roots before, though I always do it succesfully with Elm roots.

Yours proves that I've got a chance.

What a great little tree. I too just planted a handful of elm roots and I am hoping to do the same with some trident roots went I lift them. Now I'm inspired to get out there and get them out of the ground. I can't wait until my two year year old daughter is trustworthy enough to hold my trees for photographic purposes (by then I hope to have more trees worth photographing). Right now she just wants to dig in the soil, if it's not the squirrels it's my daughter! Very Happy
