Yamadori yew for shohin

Post  landerloos on Thu Feb 04, 2010 7:48 am

I want to introduce my new yew, that should become a shohin in the future.
Cant work on it for an other year though.
Where did I get it, from my friend Tony Tickle.

Well I would love to get some input and thoughts

That's a jewel Peter...how tall is it...?

I can visualize you, slapping one hand, then the other...to keep from diving in right now. Right?

Pat…mounted on my trusted stead, riding off wildly in all directions…

PETER (shouting)

Do not touch the Yew for 12 months... the tree has been happy since 2008 in the pot and you should do NOTHING until this time next year, when the tree is happy with your location both in your climate and your garden. Be patient and the tree will thrive, work too soon and you may well loose the tree.

Three years minimum before you start any work on any yamadori from the UK.

Listen to Uncle Tony Peter, you know that Mr Yamadori knows best!!!!

Your little Yew really caught my eye from the first time I saw it at Tony's place but unfortunatly the Euro Fairy didn't leave me enough pennies to relieve Tony of one of Tony's fantastic Yews Sad

I would like to annonce that forthwith I will not be posting anymore today on IBC because I have been called a 'Fairy' by a Danish Goblin.

On that subject... do Fairies take their teeth out when they go to Goblin parties?

Goodbye cruel world

I'am sure about this Tony (or is it "that"...? Dammed, my bad school English. But to post here might be a good leason [leason...? one "s" or two? Suspect ])

And like I told you during the Noleanders, I can keep my hands off (for one year! Laughing )

So, Peter... it's twelve months - to the day! Is the tree still alive and have you done any work on it yet?
