Hi there,
Ever seen Pt Ravi Shankar play live? I've been to many of his live performances. magical fingers he has. plays with sitar. He has won 3 Grammy awards. Norah Jones is one of his daughters.

Yah, in fact I did see Ravi when he came last year (it was my birthday present!). He was I was also taught by Ustad Shahid Parvez. I think you might know of him. I have seen 4 or 5 Indian classical concerts and have over a hundred performances on CD. It's really my favorite music to listen to, literally a world apart from other music.

Coming from New Delhi, I have met many of these masters and ustaads. I play classical indian flute myself. My Favorites are ustaad zakir hussain, pt ravi shankar, ustaad amjad ali khan, john mclaughlin and pt hariprasad chaurasia (flutist). You're lucky to have met ravi. he's such a wonderful person. very humble.

I am seeing Hariprasad live in September!
I am so excited! His bansuri playing is wonderful
My favorites are Ustad Amir Khan, Pandit Mallikarjun Mansur, Pandit Nikhil Banerjee (probably my favorite 3), Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Ustad Vilayat and Imrat Khan, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Ravi Shankar, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Ustad Bismillah Khan, Ustad Faiyaz Khan, Pandit Omkarnath Thakur, and many others.
