I live in Houston Tx in Zone 9. It has been a cold winter, we had 3 straight days of sub-freezing temps. But now it is back to normal. My question is, we have had a weeks worth of over 70 degrees is it to early to start Fertilizing my plants? Or should I wait? What is the tell tale sign that I can start fertilizing?

It probably is still early. Even down where you live, there's still a chance of another Arctic chill and you would not want fresh, new growth to be nipped.

What plants do you have? Generally when you see buds just about to break, that's a good time to give a plant a feeding.

Hi Ronald,
Same zone, different state. I don't think we are out of the woods yet. I'd wait a while longer before fertilizing. It has been warm though, hasn't it?

Hey Ronald, I'm in Houston Tx too. The weather is crazy! Best of luck with the trees. I think we are having another cold blast soon. Smile
