The challenge was set over on Smithy's snow sculptures thread and read as follows:

Fiona wrote: Now the real comparison, Will, would be for you to post a pic of yourself at the same age so we can see how much of a chip off the old block he is in the barnet department.

In fact, I think we should get a new thread going instead of hijacking Smithy's. Everyone post a pic of themselves either "in hair". (if you are among the more follicularly challenged) and/or just with your worst ever hairstyle (especially for those who lived through bad hair decades such as the 60s, 70s, 80s em.... well pretty much every decade really.

Go on Will, you start it off.

So, Will has done his bit: let's have some other bad hair day evidence.

Long before I became (temporarily?) folically challenged. Mid 1970's.

Follicularly challenged?.. I think not!! Kev_at10

After alopecia struck but before it had ALL (and I mean all, eyebrows, lashes, the works) gone.

Follicularly challenged?.. I think not!! After10

And now, despite what Tony says, not Photoshopped, it is growing back black under the white!

You renewing your passport, Kev? thumbs up Confused

The first one is a bit scary! But then, I'm not brave enough to show pics of me at that age (which was some years earlier in the century).

No not a perm, just me emulating Robert Plant/Jim Morrison with a completely natural frizz.

Funnily enough, Keegan was one of my earliest nicknames when I started teaching in high school. Had to cut my hair but the tash was a fixture from age 17 until a couple of years ago. I only shaved it off as they were supposedly coming back into fashion. Couldn't stand it that even Jonathan Ross was sporting one.

Yes Jim, I think a new passport is now a requirement!

Well I don't really have the after picture but if you give me 20-30 years it will more then likely be as smooth as a babys bottom up there.

HAHA you guys look fantastic. I have been dreading the possible future of follicular abandonment due to the over abundant examples of living male relatives that point it out every holiday. " Enjoy it while it lasts Kid"

But, I have surpased they years they started to bald. I am the exception possibly. Smile

What time of the year was that 1975 photo taken? October 1st, 1975 I went from a frizzy haired hippie to a Army boot trainee? Needles to say, the shoulder length hair "disappeared".
