In Part II Ignazio Giambrone makes some preliminary 'detail carving'. In doing so he removes the 'tell-tale' signs of the cutting tools used in bulk carving (Part I) and besides he adds fine details into the deadwood to start making it look more natural. But man-made deadwood, besides skill in its execution, needs time in order to start simulating that which nature creates. By giving time to time, the end result hopefully will be both pleasing and natural.
