A Video Tutorial in the Basics of Pruning Junipers

Here is a short video I put together that demonstrates the basics of pruning foliage pads on junipers. I offer this with the full realization that there are many ways to accomplish a given task and the techniques mentioned here have worked well for me.

Goodness, how did I miss this earlier!

A great video with a lovely relaxed easy presenting style that made the topic free from all the rocket science and/or shrouding in Druidical mystery that I have encountered from several bonsai teachers.

You have also confirmed for me that I am actually doing something correctly. Oh how good that is!

Hey John - Nice job with this, as usual. It's great that you can put your computer tech knowledge to use sharing your ability and enthusiasm for bonsai. I could see this presentation, and the others like it that you will hopefully produce, being of use to many people. I've already mentioned to Kev that we might consider a video tutorial section for the newly designed website. It'd be nice to have a good collection on a variety of topics.

Why not post in the bonsai gallery as that will perhaps have the best exposure.

Fantastic job John. I am a newbie to Bonsai and I learn so much from coming to the various forums. Its posts like these that expand our knowledge of Bonsai and make us strive to learn even more. I agree that there should be a seperate tutorial section for these videos. Keep them coming. I'd like to see one on making Jin and Shari, especially how to locate/identify live viens so as not to harm or damage them in the process. Thanks, and keep em coming.

A seperate section for tutorials is definitely something we will be implementing when the new site gets established, next year.
