Beautiful work Peter! Your web site is amazing...you are a true artist. I had the pleasure to see one of your "Dragon pots" at Jim Doyle's nursery a few years ago and it was stunning. Thanks for showing your work.

Hello pot lovers

Here are some photos of small pots.
These pots are unglazed. The surface is like a visual skin warm and soft, it is formed to enjoy you by touching it, an haptic pleasure.

Many greetings

Peter

Do you like small and minis ? Empty Size of Pots

Post  Billy M. Rhodes Fri May 08, 2009 11:23 am

Thanks Peter

Please don't apologize for your English.

I apologize for not looking at the bottom of the pictures for the measurements. Now all I have to do is convert to inches. (As much as we have tried, Americans have never really related to metric.)

A "Krebs-pot" made in 1994. I used all over the time since a bought it. At the moment it's the container for a maidenhair tree.

The first question: I do not work with a potter's wheel (I can not).
Thank you for showing my old pot.
In the next week I show in your thread a beautiful pot, which I have from you. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Beautiful work.

You have truly mastered the techniques.

Is it possible that I own the first pot shown? The grass pattern looks a bit different so perhaps you made more that one with that pattern. Here are some photos of the one Peter Krebs pot I have in my collection. So far it is a bonsai virgin. It appears to have been made in November 1996.

Bottom - Can't read the German poem either.

Hello Rob,

where did you get this pot? scratch
This is one of the first pots of this kind. The pot is handmade without a mould. On the back you can see Chinese characters. At the bottom of the pot is a Japanese haiku in German, and here in English:

On bare tree
Was quite secretly in the night
The snow on the pine

Ryota

I've been told that this might be a Peter Krebs pot. IS it, peter. Somehow I don't think so.

Thanks for the translation.

I'm always interested in and look for quality pots when I travel or go to conventions. I purchased this from one of the German vendors at the WBC in Washington DC several years ago - sorry can't remember the gent's name. It was obviously a high quality work of art and worth the price.
One day I'll find a tree worthy of it.

I'd love to get a similar quality pot for one of my larger Japanese Black Pines.

Hello Jim,

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

[edit: Just talked to my 'translator' who told me that I probably had misunderstood your remark, so I changed this text. Sorry for that! I just wouldn't want you to think that I'm trying to "sell" something here - this is just about sharing and pure enjoyment! ]

Hello pot lovers,

here are two small bowls.

It was for me a great honour for this small bowl to commemorate the 4th WBCM 2002 in Munich may be pottery. The "Bonsai peace dove" on the front, my pottery colleague Dan Barton from Bristol, England drafted

From this small pot with dove of peace, there are only 100 pieces

The flower shape of the pot is very elated. Small clouds feet complete the harmony of the pot. Falling petals symbolize the water holes.
The pot has the still “flavour of the fire”.
Through daily use it will be for years to a beautiful patina will receive

The second pot I have at the top of the first part already shown. Here is a photo with a small Pine.
This is a "masterpiece" by Walter Pall.

Mr. Krebs,

thanks for lots of inspiration. I donĀ“t know how to call - or how is it called in bonsai world - "the round-not round" pot, I call it "cut oval" for myself. I have built some too, they are cooling in my kiln by now :-). Just the "bisquit firing", no glaze.

Greetings from Czech Republic
