I bought this  Campeche at the Bonsai Rendezvous in June, from Pedro Morales.  I  need some ideas on styling and carving. Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Campeche Carving Untitl11Campeche Carving 411

Ron,

they are very easy to grow, full sun, water, and a little fertiliser.
Handles defoliation well. Fertilse for a month then defoliate or shape.
Directional pruning is easiest [ grow and clip ]

However the natural shape is a low trunk extending sideways, staying narrow and with fluting.
Can be seen on the savannah in Port of Spain [ Trinidad ] and I believe those are fairly old
at least over 100 years old.

As just a tree, come up with a design that suits you.

Not so sure about carving, as I have never such an example in nature.

Here is an example I found on the internet -

You should get a great deal of enjoyment from that one.
Laters.
