Ezo-Spruce
Hi
About 7 years i was looking for a Ezo-Spruce. In Austria it is hard to finde this kind of trees at a dealer. In spring 2015 i saw one in Italy and i had to buy him immediately.
He has grown nicely and has a very nice nebari.
The tree was healthy and i could start to form the tree a few month later. Many branches were cut to make the tree more easily. Also a new position for a better movement must be found.
For a better movement i had to cut two big branches on the frontside. The Ezo-Spruce produces lots of resin. So that the bark is not contaminated i wrapped the wounds with a paper handkerchief.
A few weeks ago i repotet the tree in the new Position. The first branch left is lowered next time step by step.
In autumn the fine branches will be wired.
ciao

Too bad, kato-san is not around to see it. They were his favorites and mine too. You've done very well with yours and happy you posted. Keep up the good work!
