Virginia pine strobili

Post  Tom Simonyi on Thu Jul 21, 2016 10:19 pm

For the first time since I have been caring for this collected Virginia pine (1992) I have noticed strobili on some of the branches in the crown area.  It is really neat to see...just wanted to share.  If anyone has pictures of this species as bonsai with cones it would be interesting to see pictures.

Regards,
Tom

Can anyone differentiate the male from the female strobilus?  Thank you.
