Ideas on some kinda vine I collected?
These pics are of a vine I collected last December/January. I was growing in a tree/shrub like manner as opposed to climbing as a vine would. Obviously it isnt a boug, but the growth habit reminds me of one. Previously I think Jim id'd it as a Carolina Jessamine.
Any thoughts on where to go with it. Jeez is it heavy! The base at the widest point is 15 inches (38 cm).

I like the trunk line on the second photo best. I would remove the right branch and the large root on the left, if possible. Do you mean Jessamine or Jasmin. [ excuse my ignorance]

Will,
No excuses necessary, the ignorance was likely on the part of some southern taxonomist naming it a Jasmine, but he simply spelled the name phonetically and included his accent You guys from the south will please forgive the yankee humor. Below is a pic. I'm just not sure if this is correct. No one I've met has EVER seen one this large. I had the chance to collect 5 more like this one but was unable to before they were gone for good.

If it is Carolina Jessamine, and it certainly looks like it is to me, be careful. Gelsemium sempervirens is poisonous "All parts of the plant are toxic, containing an alkaloid related to strychnine. Although accidental poisoning is rare because of the plant bitterness, any ingestion is potentially deadly" from http://www.desert-tropicals.com
