decrease the size of trunk

decrease the size of trunk

I have an Ixora spp with group 5 trunks on base. one of sub trunk is bigger than a main trunk. I want to decrease the size of this trunk to smaller than main trunk. How can i do that?
I will be grateful for any help from you!
(And sorry for my english, i know it very bad Very Happy)

It is difficult for us to comment without some pictures. Please post them. Also what style are you trying for: forest, clump? Can't realy decrease the size of one trunk, you will have to grow the others out or just cut the large one out.

I intended to make a "forest clump" (in Viet Nam we name that Very Happy ). Tomorrow is satuday, I will take some photo to show you about this. I hope to recive some help from you and every body.

Easiest trick in the book Smile

Make the other trunks bigger by leaving more leaves on those trees, especially the main trunk.

Maybe we need many times to make a bigger trunk with Ixora (someone tell me that), so I think this plan will become the last choice if we can't find any plan else.

Well, first it is in the back, so that helps make it not look too bad (which is is not).

Second, if you cut in shorter (about half), you can then guide any (or two or three) sprouts to become new trunks, which will be thinner.
