Hubble Hubble!

I saw the special about the Hubble telescope on Nova, during a local TV broadcast. Pretty fascinating stuff, really. Not to mention the incredible photographs!! I especially enjoyed the part where they had to go up and "clean the lens"!!

Yup I remember the beep, beep of Sputnik, but my son (who is now an assistant director with NASA) has been a part of the Goddard NASA team who was instrumental in developing and caring for Hubble. To his all the space stuff is just everyday things. WOW how far we have come in 2 generations. My dad was born before powered flight and his grandson sends things to even Mars.

Oh my, feeling old.
