Help with my second collected tree

Hello Again IBC
I found this Pine tree yesterday while walking my dog. It was in a patch of 8-10 ft. Pine trees growing on the side of an open meadow near a creek. Something happened to it obviously, I haven't cut or defoliated it at all. Do I have any chance at nursing it back? Thanks for the help!

i dont believe pines can survive being trunk chopped...
i believe they need to always have some foliage on it.

Nope. That tree may not know it yet but it is dead and you wasted a bit of effort potting it up.
