Re: uninvited virtuals and image alterations
Anyone mind if I put up a simple virt of Kevin exploding upon meeting Vance?

Kevin,
it's the Internet - aka - free for all
Now if you observe the Yahoogroups, the Bonsai lists are private and not published on Google.
The Chinese sweat paintshops were already caught by one painter, and the excuse was that he was dead, until he notified them that he wasn't and to stop copying his paintings.
For most who are hobbyists, it matters little what you do with their images or do to. In fact there might even be some sense of pride in being copied or altered.
But to a professional, as in making money for a living from Bonsai sales, it could be a bother.
Not much one can do unless the Internet Police become more of a prescence.
Stay cool.
Laters.

as long as it is exploding with pleasure
oh... wait a minute... let me re-phrase that

what i mean is, it would be an exploding honor to meet vance.
i would very much like to shake his hand and thank him for his contributions to this art.
(and fiona, i am willing to wager that you are misinterpreting who vance's comment was aimed at.)
cabin fever, anyone ?

It doesn't matter. The comment was inappropriate.

So did I. I thought once again the people with pitch forks torches and ropes had come for my @$$ to hang it from the wall. Point being if I offended anyone it was not my intention.

Funny how it's "never your intention", yet you wind up doing it again and again.

Hm.. Two logical explanations come to mind. One of them has to do with what we call people having long toes

Perhaps I missed something (have some posts been deleted?) but I couldn't see why the thread had been locked.
I don't think there's much more to be said on this topic to be honest but as long as people aren't being gratuitously offensive there's no need to lock a thread. I mean we are grown up enough to disagree with each other about something without resorting to personal insults aren't we?
Well I hope we are anyway.
Cheers

I used a couple of naughty words that someone took exception to. It was all a joke but there you go; this place cannot suffer that kind of humor. All my fault----as usual.

Odds are when you post as often as I do somewhere, sometime, someone is going to get somewhat upyoursed. To coin a word that shoud be a word

Kinda why I unlocked it again. Beginning to regret it though.
