I love the "wild" image this one creates. Really nice just as it stands.

A thought possibly for the future, if it were mine, and following my tastes, I would emphasize the cascade more. I would allow more foliage and branching to develop on the cascade branch. I would also reduce the foliage and length of branch extensions up top. Without seeing it in person, I could be more specific, and again it is certainly unique and wild and very interesting as it. Just a thought that hit me looking at the photo. This tree is intriguing enough to cause me to think about where I would take it, that is high praise, not a negative critique.

thanks for the comment leo. I agree totally with your assessment. I am letting the tree grow relatively wild to increase its strength. This tree like many cascade trees are problematic in the sense that the apex and cascade branches lag as the rest of the branches develop. hopefully a stronger overall tree coupled with pruning back of strong growth will direct the flow of energy to the weaker parts of the tree. when the growth is in balance and overall health is good, pads will be refined, negative spaces defined and the tree will look lot sharper.

best wishes, sam
