Re: Fall colors in New England
Having just returned from Maine, driving through the northern Pennsylvania mountains, I can attest to the beautiful fall colors of New England and the mountains. You photos are beautiful, and your trees are great. I hope after I move to Maine, I can find some 'cow pasture' crab apples. Thanks for showing your trees!

Carolee
Thank You
There are a lot of Malus bovinachewed
around.
The book "Bonsai From the Wild" by Nick Lenz
Has a lot of advise on those and other trees that can be collected and used for bonsai.

Very nice indeed
Proving why I think fall is one of the peaks of the year.

Some of the nicest apple bonsai I have seen! There may be a run-on apex here or there but overall very natural and believable! The colors are great too. Most of the country has nice fall colors, but New England has fall COLORS!

Thank you for compliments.
I should of done a little clean up trimming before photographing. But I was only photographing for my personnel records, to keep track of tree development. But the color looked nice so I decided to finally post some pictures and come out of lurk mode.
