A first.. Fruits on my fig! Empty A first.. Fruits on my fig!

OK. I admit. This is a fig tree, before trimming 3*2 metres (Now 2*1 metres), which in winter resides in our living room. In summer outside. During the trimming of this big benjamina, I spotted some fruit. So cool. Never expected them here, this far north. Must be doing something right!

i had some too on mine here in the frozen tundra in the middle of winter (in doors)

nice!

Just surprised; Would have though that we did not get enough light for fruiting (I am still a bit further north). Do you provide artificial light? (Or maybe you have loads of snow & sunny days?). Our winters typically are cloudy and rainy. (As are our summers by the way Evil or Very Mad , today again only 20c; 68f with rain Crying or Very sad )

not artificial light but in a huge south facing window that the sun literally pours into sunny

i am always grateful for my office setting

virtually all figs, Ficus species, have edible fruit. Some do taste better than others. But when fully ripe they can be eaten, so

"Eat your Bonsai"

let us know how it tastes.

Pick the fig as it begins to get soft, if it is hard and firm, it needs more time.
