Hello everyone!
I am needing to replace my grow light bulbs which is a setup of 6 bulbs and each bulb is 54 watt.
Does anyone here know of or has had good results with a specific brand of t-5?
Thanks!
Bryan

I just recently purchased EnviroGro FLT44 4-Ft, 4-Tube Fixture, T5 Bulbs Included, from Amazon. $122 with free Prime shipping. I am very pleased with the product...very bright and well made and packaged. Mine came with 4 AgroBrite HIGH OUTPUT T5 / 54W /6400K. They are quite bright, but I cannot compare them to other brands or comment on their longevity.

I have a large Brazilian Raintree which used to love my greenhouse in the winter, but I had to get rid of the greenhouse last year secondary to a back yard renovation/ swimming pool installation, etc. It seems happy.

Good Luck!

I have had pretty good luck with just about any brand of T-5, the over all manufacturing quality seems "good enough" regardless of vendor. Though if you see a vendor offering lamps too cheap to be true, they are probably running a scam. In small quanities, one or two at a time, I pay around $12 (usd) for a T5. Case prices will be cheaper. What does make a difference is the color of the T-5. I personally think the 6500K lamps are near ideal, enough blue to give a nice approximation of natural sunlight. Any lamp between 5000K and 7800K will work, at the low end the light will be a "warm white" with more red, at the upper end the light will appear very harsh blue-white. I think growth overall will be quite good with 6500K. The marijuana growers go on endlessly nattering about needing red or blue for flowering or growth, but I think most of that is a result of smoking their own product. Rolling Eyes The data that supported the red or blue for flowering or growth came from research done before it was realized that the other pigments in the leaves of plants that are not chlorophyll actually capture wavelengths of light that chlorophyll can not, and make some portion of it available to the chlorophyll. Chlorophyll only absorbs a specific wavelength of red and blue light, the flavinoids, carotinoids, and anthocyanins in the plant leaves make some portions of the rest of the light spectrum available to the plant. So 6500K yeilds a nice middle of the road spectrum to use.
