thank gawd the politicos of old cared enough about our national parks that something like this is still standing,
and not currently sitting under a triple soy steam caramel machiato venti starbucks in some hipsters living room...  Rolling Eyes

Saw that tree about 20 years ago. There really isn't a word that adequately describes how immense and impressive it is. I took pictures but none of them even remotely do it justice.

Would love to get out there for another visit. Someday.

Not any more but there used to be one that fit the bill: AWESOME!

Today, we've cheapened that word to mean as little as a decent steak dinner.

The closest may be "overwhelming."
