Hehe,
Some four weeks ago I went to a demolition site, to check on a juniper I had seen from the road. Turned out it was GREAT material. But also about twice the size I can handle (2ft/60cm trunk, 7ft/2m tall, 10ft/3m across). With absolutely no foliage to cut back to, I decided to leave it.

however, looking around at the site, I saw a nice little azalea bush in the grass. When I grabbed it, it turned out it was connected to several other 'bushes': Heavily neglected, with long sneaking branches in the grass. Two cuts with a spade was all that was needed and I took it home with me with very substanial roots. The initial shrub had rooted, so I split the plant into two.

I am thinking.. Literati. Next year may see a compression of the trunk and thinning of the branches..? So far, no leafdrop and the multi-trunk has actually thrown out a new flush of leaves. Any suggestions for a future of these would be greatly appreciated!
