The "pig head" fossil stone

Post  Gatra on Thu Aug 14, 2014 6:29 am

Dear my all friends,
My name is Gatra from Java, Indonesia.
I would like to share one of my collection of stones:
a "pig head" ancient wood fossil stone. It is originated from Pacitan, East Java, Indonesia.

Sincerely yours,  Smile

Incredible....... the wood still looks fresh! And I can see the pig head.

I also like the little table, looks old, and has character. What was it for?

Love and light

Thank you very much for enjoying my collection, Mr. Beaurain.  Smile
Actually I admire this fossil a lot. This fossil's weight is about 50 lbs, one of my best collection. It is originated from Pacitan, East Java.
Yes, Mr. Beaurain, the surface looks fresh and natural, with golden brown color. We can see also the wood scratch.
One thing makes me really enjoying this fossil stone is its shape: a pig head.

About the old small little table, in my country it is called "dingklik".
In the past, it was used as a chair, before the modern furniture entered Indonesia. It was also commonly used by children when they were studying at home; using "dingklik' as their table while sitting on the floor.

best regard,
