I must say this is a truly lovely tree.  Stunning taper in the trunk.

The yin doesnt bother me that much, I actually quite like it, and without it, your tree will just become mediocre.  Where as now it is different.  In years the yin will anyway shorten with age and eventually, like in all small trees, rot off.  So I will keep it for now.

What bothers me though is that there is too much symmetry.  You almost have the wheel spoke thing going, and both bottom branches are like mirror images.  Now if you are into this kind of thing then go for it, but to improve your tree, so it becomes more natural, then you have some discsions to make... isnt it Fun.

Hi Andre,
That's exactly what i think. Sometimes I don't like the image of my trees be very accommodating. Sometimes I want to transmit a bit of visual tension, a little discomfort for breaking some rule. That "personality" is what gives them soul and makes them interesting.
